Computer Cleaning

Are
you aware of the Computer Cleaning Week® campaign designed to raise people's awareness of how germs can spread on shared computer keyboards, screens and phones etc.? Interesting, right? I've read about it over at the Confessions of a Germ blog and I find it very, very relevant because in today's age, everyone is into technology, especially computers and mobile phones and so, it's just right that I'll spread this topic for everyone's awareness. You can find the Computer Cleaning Week® on Facebook as well so you might prefer that page than going directly to the website. Do check it out and learn valuable information! I did and it's great!

Golden Success!!!

My
dearest college friend's wedding which took place last August 22nd was a huge success! I wasn't there but the pictures and all the prayers lifted tell me so. Too bad me and the hubby weren't there when it was the very first wedding that both of us sponsored. How cool it would have been when our presence was there. Here's one of their wedding shot:

Ahh... I totally love this capture! And yes, I love the newlyweds very much! And here's one more interesting note: there were lots of gold coins being showered on them during the reception. Accordingly, it was a way of showering them with golden blessings so I bet it must have been really nice. I wonder though if those gold coins are good enough for investment. I should ask the bride if the coins are theirs now, because if they're real gold, then, usgoldbureau.com will be a helpful site for them if gold investing is part of their plan as couple.

Anyway, you might want to check out the site for yourself. It has great information about gold and other precious metals investing and the latest updates on gold prices and stuff are there, too!

Lie Low or Quit

I'm
making the most of my remaining free days before school finally starts. By then, I think a complete lie low or quitting from blogging will happen, depending on the degree of difficulty that I'll encounter with my Human Physiology, Conceptual Chemistry, and Human Diseases classes. The hubby always reminds me to stop blogging now and prepare myself with the difficult subjects, but I can't leave my pending tasks behind so here, I'll try to write them all as possible as today. And then, I won't be logging in to my blogs by Thursday and Friday, if I can! Lol.

It is so hard to imagine doing it, but because of school, my priorities are changing. Yes, I am earning a bit from blogging, but I have to spend a whole lot of time studying in order to fulfill my aim of acing my classes. Oh well, life! For now, I'll make the most of my remaining free time! :) It's Tuesday and I hope you have a great day ahead!

Golden Value

Time
has a golden value. Time is figuratively likened to a gold which has an utmost value. Time cannot be bought however, unlike gold which are scattered around the world and poses a huge demand for investors. To buy gold bullion or even silver coins would be really a huge thing, especially that today's prices of gold never go down. Even a single gold bullion such as this will make one feel that he has invested something of much cost already.

Well, people differ in their point of views about investment, but when it comes to gold investing, usgoldbureau.com has experts and dedicated professional staffs who are available for your inquiries, concerns, and queries about buying and investing gold.

Breezy Sunday!

Today
is the first day of another brand new week and I am so excited and anxious at the same time for the first day of school later this week! Aw! Triz has started to be showing some signs that she isn't loving the fact that Mamang will be leaving her daily because of classes and I hope she can deal with it sooner than later. Today is Sunday and the sun is out, yet the temperature is only in the 60s with winds blowing freely giving me a soft and good breeze here in my bedroom! I love temperatures like this as much as everybody does! I'm planning of heading to the university campus later to familiarize the buildings where my classrooms are located and maybe find some good spots, too, to check out with Ma and Pa around. It was a well-rested Sabbath yesterday and now, I can say that I'm fully energized to brace the upcoming week ahead! I hope you equally have a good day as well! :)

Fandango Bucks

Are
you a movie fanatic? I used to be one, until I got pregnant and decided to stop watching movies, or choosing which movies to watch all because of the consideration that my child is vulnerable enough to be watching all kinds of movies that are out there. Well, if you are a movie buff and you go the the theater very often, then you will love any of those Fandango Bucks Movie Ticket Gift Certificate over at fandango-bucks.com!

The sweet and cool thing is, it is so easy, safe, and secure to get them online! Paying is via Paypal and a Fandango movie ticket gift certificate is valid at any participating movie theater near your place! A $25 worth of gift certificate only costs $12 at fandango-bucks so you could imagine how huge a savings you will be getting! The customers have been praising them since 2008, and sure, you will also love the service so check it out now! ;-)

Needing Help

The
world is in a state of financial turmoil indeed! Last night was my schedule of a long chat with my sisters who are on the other parts of the world-- one in Japan, one in Hong Kong, and one in Singapore. We had a great time keeping in touch with the latest news, however, the updates are not very comforting, because one of our relatives in Philippines was asking for some financial help as she is being hospitalized right now because of a stroke. Money these days is so important that even a single gold coin would cost a lot. I am thinking that if my father had been alive today, he would be so willing to extend even the littlest help he could give because as a gold coin collector himself, those gold coins that he got has much value already which I'm sure would be a good tool to extend a helping hand. Are you a gold collector or investor? If you are, you would be happy then to know that the value of gold and any other precious gems are always on the rise! USgoldbureau.com has all the information that you may need regarding your gold investing and collecting stuff.

The More, The Merrier

Such
adage has been trusted and proven for ages now, and again, it stays the same to me. Now that Ma and Pa-in-law are here with us, our home is even more filled with so much laughter and noise, but good noise of course! The little one has been on her feet all the time that sleep or nap is very far from her now that the grannies are around. Triz has endless stories to tell to the old folks which sure are a healer and a great source for laughter. I remember my friend who visited us here a couple of weeks ago, they told us how good it is to live with Triz, because for sure, they won't get any wrinkles at all. Just with that line, you can imagine how fun and joyful this little girl of ours is. Here's how sweet she is with her grannies:

With Lolo (Grandpa)

With Lola (Grandma)

So many changes with our daily routines took place ever since the parents-in-law arrived. Triz seemed to be the happiest little girl with them around, because I can see that she felt she has great companies more than ever. The interesting thing is, everything that we taught her, she also instilled to the old folks. Maayo nalang, we tried teaching her everything good. :) So yeah, we've paused from our daily academic activities for now, because she does what I do to her Lolo and Lola, which I think is good for me while I prepare for Nursing School which starts next week. She also suddenly turned very mature when the elderly arrived. She asked me if I am going to school now because the Dadi has been starting with his school duty and I told her not until next week, and she replied, "Okay.... Lolo and Lola will be here with me, right?" I said "Yes!" and she just exclaimed, "goodie!" Ahh... it indeed is merrier with more! :)

Keylogger

Responsible
parenting involves guidance and protection of the children from their internet usage. In today's times, when every household has been geared up with the latest trend of high technology in the homes, and with the internet being the most used social media outlet, proper guidance should be imposed on children's usage of the internet. As a parent of a pre-schooler, you bet my worries are raising higher and higher for my daughter who now uses and operates the computer. Though she's mostly on PBSkids.org and starfall.com, still, she already knows how to open a website so she must be well-guarded. My solution? Spysoftware.com's keylogger as they have a software called Sentry PC, a parental control software that logs, notifies and blocks Internet content that may be unsuitable for children. Sounds great, don't you think so?

But well, there are other parents who don't only need the parental control but some more extra protection from the internet. If you check out the site, the top 5 products that SpySoftware.com has are being featured and there, you can compare the feature from the ratings and descriptions so you can choose which software your home needs. I believe it isn't enough for parents to be warning their children on their computer usage. There should be a product that can support the warning, and those products are available at the site that I've been telling around here!

I
want a thorough carpet cleaning done in my household! That's because an old or dusty and dirty carpet causes a lot of irritations to me not to mention how huge a source of allergens it is to my asthma. So early last week, the hubby and I did a tiring general cleaning around here since school is almost here and by then, the two of us will be two busy individuals already with just less time to mind cleaning frequently our home. if we only live in Dallas or near it, the known Carpet Cleaning Dallas would be perfect for us and everyone else who want a spic and spa carpet! Arrived!

Ma and Pa-in-law are here finally! We picked them up yesterday at the Outgamie Regional Airport and though their plane landed some 20 minutes late, still, we are very thankful for the safe flight that they've had from Las Vegas. The anxious little Triz has been waiting patiently for the grannies and now that they're here, they can start playing endlessly with each other already.

A few days left till school starts for me while swithart started reporting for work today. The old folks are still a bit tired and they want to just stay home first after we toured them yesterday around the city and later today, we'll head out somewhere for some shopping and fun stuff. I'm glad to have them around and I can only hope that they are, too.

Coupons Save!

I
am up for huge Savings! I mean, I need some savings for all my shopping routines! From grocery items to dry goods like clothing and electronic stuff, I am very much dependent on the power of coupons. Why not, when it helps me save some bucks? So what are coupons for, for me? Well, I gather them from a weekly paper that comes in the mail and they are coupons for toothpastes, tissues or paper towels, and other grocery items. So every grocery shopping, I can save as much as $20 for every $100 purchase. But when it comes to shopping for clothes and electronic stuff, savings.com is very much dependable. Stores like Aeropostale, Old Navy, Kohls, are my favorite! And since I do a lot of online shopping, then deals like 30% off or 50% off and'free shipping are so sweet!

How about you, do you use savings.com? Do try it if you haven't yet! I love how I am being helped in saving some more with the smart tips in saving that deal experts offer. The Ask, Answer, & Save page does that and there, you will be able to enjoy a huge advantage of saving while shopping!

With the frequent shopping that I'm doing these days since school is fast approaching and and with parents-in-law's arrival, you bet saving is sweet in every spending that I do!

Handheld TV

I
am still up on this wee hours of the morning. That's because I am having a great time chatting with my older sister in Japan who is on vacation with her dearest daughter and I enjoyed browsing at all of their photos, especially the ones where my niece is relaxing and playing her Nintendo and handheld TV for her anime shows. I told her that I'd like one of those handheld TVs that she got and my dear innocent niece was genuine enough to tell me that she'll send me one when she starts working in the future. Ha ha ha. I just love her! And even more so when she fulfills what she said to me today! Lol.

Write and Earn!

Writing
is my passion. I started writing during my grade school years, although nothing has been published at that time. In high school, I became one of the editorial staff of our campus publication and that's when my love for writing was even more enhanced and developed by my Development Communication adviser. In college, I continued the trend when I took up Mass Communication. Now that I am a stay-at-home mom, I am thankful that I still get to express my thoughts through blogging. And not only that, I don't only write but I also earn from doing so! Oh yeah, there are a lot of Writing Jobs in the world wide web these days! If you're interested, realwritingjobs.com is one of them and you can check out the site any time you want! ;-)

Fresh Harvests

We're
flooded with fresh harvests of sweet corns, potatoes, zucchini, and cucumbers around here. It's good because we don't have to spend some bucks to buy all these stuff, but it's partly bad because we can't consume all these quick! Lol.

A bagfull oof sweet corns, and

these!

And next week still or so, maybe another bag of tomatoes, too, like last year around this time! And where do all these came from? Well, simply from Melds' parents-in-law over at Amherst! These were dropped off here at home a couple afternoons ago, and until now, I haven't touched anything yet. Oh the abundance of foods in my table is such a blessing! Thank you to all the donors, and thank you, Lord for the constant providence! :)

Buying an RV?

Sure!
It has been a dream for me and the hubby! As a nature-lover, my family loves to go on an adventure in the wilderness or forest, do some trekking, gallivanting, and even camping! Whenever I see signs of rvs for sale, I'm always interested to check it out! Unfortunately, now is not the right time yet for my family to buy a new or even used RV as our budget won't allow us just yet. Last June, we went to Camp Wakonda for two weekends for the Camp meeting and it was fantastic to be stepping foot on the ground of tents and RVs. This is one of our photos:

Our group during lunch, enjoying at a tent in the camp ground

And I call this the RV city. Every year, close to 5 thousand of campers flock to this ground for a month-long of camping, each week for different age levels. Isn't that fun?

We hope to attend the same thing next year, and this RV is a good target:

But nope! We couldn't buy this yet so if you're interested, go ahead and click the image to be led to the seller's page. I love sharing some discoveries you see, and this cool RV is one of it! As for me, I shall continue to dream of owning one and drool over this one! Lol.

Go with a Secure Merchant!

I
am in the process right now of learning the pros about online marketing including online selling. I got some great items that I think would be in-demand for women in general and I'm still studying and researching the bits and pieces of the right way of reaching my customers. If I am to be asked what I prefer most for a merchant, I would say a safe and sure Merchant Processing Services would get my thumbs up. Bluepay.com is what a merchant can benefit with. It is a credit card processing company that provides merchants with secure, streamlined solutions for all of their payment processing needs. A friend of mine who works as an accountant in one of the huge companies in the Middle Easy and she has shared that yeah, they are a bluepay.com customer and yes, they're enjoying the benefits of a safe and secure merchant processing. I will have to learn more what bluepay.com offers as this may have to do with my future desire of online selling!

Tax Refund, Anyone?

Everybody loves tax refunds, am I right? What do you usually do every time you receive one? Ours for this year was initially alloted to a travel or some sort of a vacation that we were supposed to do, unfortunately, some unavoidable circumstances happened and the money that we received was diverted to it disabling us to make the most of the planned vacation that we were supposed to be embarking. Oh well, life! The good thing is, tax refund happens every year so hopefully, next year will be a good one.

Old, old photographs (FL, 2005)

I
am feeling nostalgic lately. And melancholic, too. Mixed emotions of joy, excitement, but more of longingness. I went through my photo archives and even tried logging in to all those online accounts where I stored my old photographs and sure enough, I've recovered some snaps which lightened my heart a bit. Photographs of my first days here in the US they were, pre-Triz era, and yes, they all make me smile. I'll share some of the Florida trip that we did in the summer of 2005. Here they are:

Off on an 18-hour-drive from Central IL to Orlando, FL. The camera's date setting was in error. :D

In one of the many stops and hops in Orlando

Orlando's Wonderworks

Pointe Orlando pose of moi, swithart, and SIL

Swithart and I posed at a Pirate's cove or something

Inside the Universal Studios

Lost in Orlando'ss U.S.

Latagaw sa Daytona Beach, outside a mall this was, with Nini and SIL Daisy

A sweet morning walk in Daytona Beach, FL

Panihapon sa mga gagmay (pa) ug lawas, lol

All smiles Go-Kart-ing in Daytona's raceway! Lol.

I'll just share a few cause the quality of photos are poor. I realized I only have a few prints of these here because everything was brought to Las Vegas where SIL Daisy now lives. At least, with these online photos that I've discovered from an old Shutterfly account, I get to smile as I reminisce that old FL escapade that we did. My best friend now lives in Tampa and she keeps on inviting us to visit them anytime. With Triz around, whenever that trip's gonna be, I'm sure it will be awesome.

One thing's worth noticing in all those photos I've shared: I was very thin back then. Five years later, I looked like I doubled in size. Eww! Ha ha ha.

Outdoor Lighting- Residential Outdoor Fixtures

Are
your outdoor lighting used more often now that it's summer? I bet yes, since many of us like to stay outdoor when the night comes. If it is your case, then you might have thought of updating or changing your exterior lighting for this year to give way to a fresher and newer outdoor looks of your home! Why don't you try checking out outdoorlightingdiscounters.com and be amazed with every lighting fixtures they have that are on sale? I'm just done with a general cleaning here at home to prepare for our visitors tomorrow who will be staying here for the weekend and sure, our lighting at the patio I also checked if it's still working or not. Go for a Beauty School

I have just reconnected with my high school best friend via this famous social networking site and I am surprised to have learned that she has three kids already and yet, she remained to be the ever sexy, slim, and beautiful Janet that I have known. She went for a year to a beauty school during our college and she seemed to have applied in herself what she has learned in such school. The beauty school in Wichita is a branch of the Regency Beauty Institute and guess what, it is such a great option for anyone who is considering school and is confused oh what to take up but is interested in fashion, makeup, and beauty. I did consider taking up cosmetology and hairstyle in the past especially that I love to cut hair and make up certain hairstyle but for now, I shall pursue my dream to become a nurse first. Meanwhile, please consider this beauty school in Wichita and the site is worth checking out!

What's Left for the Summer?

It's
the 10th of August 2010 and only few days are left for the warm season! Now my question is, where have all those summer days went? Lol. I mean, the cliche "time flies by so fast" is unarguable, isn't it? We only have a single trip to the pool ever since the summer began and a few outdoor adventures because the gloomy weather for many days demanded that we be stuck at home! Ha ha ha. We still had fun days though so it's always worth it! Last Sunday, we went to Marshfield, WI, some 50 minutes drive, and got lost there! Lol. We were on adventure in finding the Wildwood Zoo and Park there and after 20 minutes of being misdirected by our map, we finally found our way to the zoo. We had fun and yes, we'll be going back there again sometime soon!

At the Grizzly Bear's hideaway. I have hundreds of photos taken and its numbers make me so lazy to upload! Lol.

In a couple weeks, when Ma and Pa-in-law will get here, maybe we could head somewhere fun for the remaining summer days. And oh, this weekend, a friend of ours, a couple, from our old place in Illinois are driving up here to spend their weekend with us. HA! Excitement awaits! Yahooo!!!

Dreaming for an Outer Banks Vacation

Are
you familiar of the Carolina Designs condo or home rentals in North Carolina? I love the Chasing the Tyde model because it gives me the feeling of being home considering that it looks like it is concrete designed and the color is similar to our home sweet home back in Philippines! Take a look:

I haven't been to North Carolina but having learned how beautiful the place is with all the pristine beaches that I so love, it is worth my time and money for a nice family vacation. Outer Banks vacation rentals is worth a try as it has been recommended by my sister-in-law who is a self-proclaimed travel queen and has had a couple times of experience in North Carolina. The kitchen of the Chasing the Tyde condo is very spacious and homey, giving me the comfort and convenience that I need as a vacationer.

To stay for a week in this unit wouldn't be a problem at all! I can cook all my desired foods like I am just at home!

And what could beat an outdoor swimming pool?

It's a plus to have an amenity like this one as it's always nice to end the day soaking in a warm pool after a long day of escapade from the entire place. Now I can't stop myself dreaming for an Outer Banks vacation! It definitely is in my must travel place and time will tell when my small family will be able to experience one and have a blast. Indeed, Carolina Designs are worth checking out for an Outer Banks vacation plan!

Blog Copy

My
means of expressing my thoughts through blogging has helped me communicate to my readers. Unknown to me, I got some old, old friends back in high school and college who are now based in many parts of the world and who are following me through my blogs. Isn't that nice? They still get to check out on my and my life because of my personal posts. How do I know? Well, I have a secret weapon. It is Blog Copy, a tool which lets me know who copies my blog and share them with their other sets of friends making me a reference thereby adding so much more traffic into my site. Cool, right?

Well, check out the link if you're interested to know who copies your blog, for good! ;-)

Stocking Up!

I am planning of sending huge balikbayan boxes to my home country soon and right now, I am stocking up on stuff that I shall be putting in the box. Mostly, I have clothes, shoes, accessories, school supplies, and basic commodities like body soap, toothpastes, lotions, etc. The husband on the other hand purchased several manly things which are mostly for mechanics or construction purposes. He is interested in spring plungers and some auto parts and for sure, he'll be buying them once I am done with mine. I am still waiting for the shipping company to call me and tell me ahead when they're scheduled to come pick up the boxes that are ready for shipment. I think I have three so I better pack them up fast so that I won't have any problem once the shipping company comes!

Family

"You cannot choose your family. They are God's gift to you."

Thus said an old saying. True. However I may like to choose good sisters and awesome brother, plus perfect parents, I just can't. Whatever I am provided with, I am accepting it with all my heart. My family is not perfect, but we all can smile and laugh together the odds that life brings.

That's a photograph of my incomplete family during my recent Pinas homecoming. Taken after church on a beautiful Sabbath noon, we all were delighted to pose one more time before leaving CDO once again some days after. All of us six sisters were seated on the middle line. We lacked Ate Eve who is in Hong Kong, Ate Gina who didn't join us for church, our only brother L who already left for Davao a week before, and Mama who went didn't join us in SPUC as she has responsibilities in Carmen.

I'm just posting this picture as I end my week today. I so missed everyone in the family and looking at these photographs that are stored in my portable hard drive are the easiest way to have a glimpse of them and be able to smile. Even with the imperfections, I still love my family 100 percent! :)

Matouk Linens

I
just love all kinds of matouk linens that I found! I am not really familiar with the brand, not until I've checked out the site because someone recommended it to me. I must say matouk linens are my taste and definitely my type! My niece-in-law Cyndi is celebrating her birthday today and I'm thinking of getting her a set of Matouk bedding. I'm sure she will love those kinds of fine linens as much as I do. It will be a delayed gift though but it will still be worth it.

As I'm talking about linens, I am reminded of the task of changing the linens at the other room to prepare for a visitor of ours next weekend. A couple friend from our old place in Illinois will be coming over and spend probably two nights here and we offered to have them stay here in our home rather than at the hotel and they love it! So yeah, I will be changing the linens at the other bedroom soon and do some cleaning, too! It maybe quite a chore, but I don't mind. I am happy and thrilled to have Eds and Nik soon and it shall be fun, that's for sure!

Franchising

I'm
letting my sister know about the website franchisegator.com! That's because it will be one relevant site to him considering that he and her husband are in the process of finding out what's the best franchise to own once they'll decide to settle for good in Philippines. Right now, they live in Japan and soon, they'll move to Philippines and start anew.

Franchisegator.com is very informative! It features the top franchises of 2010 from all franchise industries and this site is a must-see if you're into franchising. Had I lived in Philippines right now, I think I would been managing a franchise business for a food court. It is my sister's plan for me, unfortunately, I decided to come and join my husband here in the US so that planned wasn't pushed through but soon, the sister will be pursuing it for the family. For now, more skills and knowledge acquisition first and this website that I'm talking about is very significant!

Happy Friday :)

It's
the weekend again and I'm loving it! What's not to love about it anyway? I feel like I can't say "hurry up, Fall!" now that the days are passing by so quick! It won't be long till school starts for me. Yay! Every weekend brings me closer to that so I must make the most of every weekend that comes. Tomorrow, I am sure for another good and blessed Sabbath. I'm one of the hosts for the potluck at church tomorrow so I have to finish doing all my online tasks for this week so that I can prepare for what to cook tomorrow. Next weekend, our friend in Illinois will be coming over and spend their weekend here in Central Wisconsin. That's going to be fun and exciting and I can't wait. Next, next weekend, Ma and Pa-in-law will be arriving from Las Vegas and that should mean pure bliss with them. Ah... I can only say I'm having happy days right now. Of course, the unhappy odds are still around, even little illnesses I do have, but they're nothing when I think of the reason why my heart should be grateful. In short, I am having a happy Friday today and I hope you feel the same! ;-)

It's been a year!

Two
days ago marked our first anniversary of living here in Wisconsin. I wondered, "has it been that long since we moved from Illinois?" It seems like it was just yesterday, really. Ah... time flies by so fast! As the hubby and I thanked God for everything that He has done to us, especially for the providence of the things that we need, we can always smile in laughter and tears for all the blessings. We are happy where we are right now, but we truly missed the times of yesterdays, especially when we lived as a big family back in Illinois.

Every summertime back then would mean so much fun and outdoor with so many people around. Plus, we lived in the sister-in-law's owned house so we were free to do some barbecuing outside and a fun bonfire, too. Our outdoor electric grill back then was always put into use. Now that we live in an apartment, I've bade goodbye to grilling already. I can still eat some barbecue and grilled stuff but only through broiling. Well, someday, when we can have our own house, I shall never forget owning an outdoor grill for the family.

An outdoor family fun is always the best when there's barbecuing around not to mention how perfect it is for the daughter's birthday fun every 4th of July!

Clothes for the Birthday Guy

It
won't be long and there's going to be another birthday in the family! That is, in September, when the man in the house will turn a year older! As early as now, I have been thinking of what to give him even if he always reminds me not to buy him anything. Honestly though, I'm planning of getting him a set of men's clothing! That's right, this guy deserves some new clothes! Lol.

Why not, when he doesn't have one or two every time I buy myself and the little one! That's because it is so hard to get him one that he will like. You see, he's one simple guy and anything that would make him super good-looking (lol) he would refuse. So the ending? It's always me and the daughter who would benefit a sweet shopping spree for outfits! He he he. I'll turn the table though. Next month, I'll buy him clothes that he will like and I'll make sure he won't give a frown on them! It won't be hard anyway because summer clearance is going on anywhere so it won't be a huge expense! Advance happy birthday, sweetheart!

Gloves when bleaching

I dare not use bleach without wearing some safety gloves at all. Not once again, never! I have learned a lesson. Just barely a week of arriving here in the US, I used a liquid bleach to clean the bathroom in the house where we lived. I didn't know bleach here could ruin one's hands and breathing. You see, back home, bleach are just mild they can be used with your bare hands. Here, I used it without putting a glove on and a day after, my poor hands got swollen and filled with severe blemishes and red spots that seemed to rot. My hands were useless that time until they healed almost a month after. Since then, bleaching was never a rush; instead, bleach and glove work together. Oh yeah, any kind of bleach is my savior in cleaning our bathroom. It gives me my wanted result, but it should be with the a work glove on! :)

Melds Passed the NCLEX! Hurray!

We
have such a very exciting and really, really good news today! That is about Melds who passed the NCLEX which she took last Tuesday! Remember my post entitled "Good luck, Melds!" a couple days ago? Well, all the good luck wishes and the heartfelt prayers paid off! This morning, as I was making myself settled in the couch dealing with a very severe migraine, my phone rang. When the hubby picked it up and learned that it was Melds, he immediately gave it to me and her exciting voice on the other line tells me that something good happened. Sure enough, she exclaimed, "Cel, I made it! Thank you for everything, especially for your prayers! It did wonders!" And we shouted together because of happiness and thrill! That was really a huge and awesome news! I am sure everybody at church who prayed for her would be delighted to know.

So she can finally leave the UK soon and move here in Central Wisconsin to be with her husband for good! Ah... what joy! She has an immigration appointment end of this month and after that, she'll return to the UK to settle everything there including her job at the hospital which she hasn't resigned yet. She is excited to be working here and I feel the same for her, too. What's more, we shall have more time bonding together soon now that she'll be living here nearby. Just a news worthy of shouting, really!

That's Melds next to me and her hubby Bob during Triz's 4th birthday!

So after all the hard work of doing self-reviews for a month, along with all our prayers, Melds is now a US licensed nurse and is bound to be working here soon. Oh sure, she's excited and we are very happy for her!

Medical Bancruptcy

Can
you imagine how bad and tough it would be like if someone who is in need of the medical treatment has a healthcare provider that's filing for a medical bankruptcy? I mean, is there ever such a thing? I just actually learned that there is and that is via USAEyes when my concern about Lasik was brought into discussion. That's because of my current eye condition which is worsening. I am confident that I could be a qualified candidate for Lasik surgery but what would happen to me if the practitioner where I am getting the service with would close eventually because of bankruptcy reasons? Oh man, that would be really a huge problem! You can actually learn more about medical bankruptcy through Glenn Hagele's page and be aware of what your medical care might undergo in the future!

Buy.com's Ipod Touch

I
love buy.com! I couldn't count the number of times I bought my favorite stuff from them! It's my favorite online electronic store, really! I bought my camera from them, a GSM phone, some electronic gadgets and accessories, and even kitchen appliances like toaster and rice cooker. It's their weekly deals that I find to be awesome most of all! For this week's deal, a DentalPure Toothbrush Sanitizer is 84% off so you might want to take advantage of that! Receiving a weekly deal email from them gives me a chance of saving a whole lot of dollars. Right now, I want an Ipod touch. Even just the 8gig will do. It is still sold at a regular price but I am waiting to receive an ad campaign from buy.com with such item on sale. Yay! It would be really awesome! I feel like I just need one now that I shall be schooling soon. I won't be bringing with me my netbook and my mobile phone doesn't have the data plan either so an Ipod touch's wifi would be great! So yeah, I badly want one right now. I hope Santa would come early for me and grant my wish! Ha ha ha.

Hypertensive!

For
a year now, I have been suffering from hypertension. The highest blood pressure taken on me was 158/108. I was stunned with it that I called my sisters right away. Nothing bad happened though. It's a matter of being calm and relaxed is what I need accordingly. Hypertension is in our family so I must take care of myself well enough if I want to live that long. You know what I mean? My primary care provider has recommended unto me to buy and have a blood pressure monitor here at home. He said even a pulse oximeter I also need. Well, I already have the BP monitor but not the pulse oximeter yet. However, I am planning of buying pulse oximeters soon because I have nieces and a nephew back home who need it for their Nursing school.

As with my hypertension, I am in process of changing my diet lifestyle right now. I should be lessening my salt intake and should focus on diet rich in Omega 3. How about you? What do you know are good foods for hypertensive people? ;-)

Good luck, Melds!

Our
very dear friend Melds is taking the NCLEX (National Council Licensure EXamination), an examination for the licensing of nurses in the United States tomorrow in Madison, WI. Hopes and prayers of her making it to success are already lifted so I can only say good luck for it dear friend!

Melds and I at Camp Wakonda last June

Melds badly need this more than ever. She has been working as a nurse for more than 10 years already, however, she has yet to get a license to work here in the US because her license is only in Philippines and in the UK. She is a UK citizen, but because she recently married her husband who is an American living here in our nearby city, she has to move here and settle in Wisconsin for good! Yay! What a life, indeed! Her immigration papers have been turning out okay so far and this NCLEX thing is what she needs to conquer most of all so she can finally leave the UK. CG and IELTS are already taken and passed, so I am positive she can ace the NCLEX as well. Our prayers and sincere wish is for her to do her best for tomorrow. You can do it, Melds! Trust Him!

Custom Labels by Data Graphics Inc.

Most,
if not all companies and industries in today's age do have Custom Labels for product branding. When I took the Advertising course in my Mass Communication degree, I learned how important it is for a product to have its brand logo and label for marketing purposes. No wonder those products that have unique and interesting brand label or logo excel in marketing. If you're wondering who does custom labels and other forms of graphics for advertising purposes, you should check out datagraphicsinc.com!

Data Graphics Inc. makes all kinds of graphics for your industry's needs. A Custom Label for your company's product branding would make go far, and datagraphicsinc.com can make your ideal design and looks for it. Aside from custom labels, they also make overlays, nameplates, UID and barcodes, safety labels, roll labels, and even die cut products.

I must recommend this to a friend who runs a taxi company. They've been trying to make a product branding logo for their company so this site should be appropriate. You can check it out as well for all related matters.

Woman Thing!

I
have been complaining about all these pimples and wrinkles that are coming out. Yes, I have all these breakouts right now, and the culprit? The woman's monthly period! If you're a fellow woman, I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. The older sister has advised me to use prevera should my wrinkles be unstoppable no matter how I smile. Lol. Actually, the wrinkles are manageable enough; it's the breakouts that aren't. Anyway, these only come out once a month though so I should be thankful these aren't too much of a burden, really! I think when one has her monthly period, one just can't help it to complain about so many things. Like I do now with all these breakouts! Ek!

It really is Summer!

It
is so hot today! I think today is one of the very few days when I can complain of the summer heat here in Central Wisconsin! The temperature is only 82F and the humidity is 84F and guess what, this is already very hot for me! I'm used to just in the 70s or high 60s you see! How can I ever bear the 120F or some other three-digit-temperatures in Las Vegas and in some other places in the south? I should be enjoying this kind of weather since it won't be long till the cold months come, right? But lo, I just can't. It would have been awesome to head outdoors for fun activities but heck, I am stuck at home today and so do my companions around here. Besides, I'm having my period also which makes me feel so lazy and tired to go around. The swimming pool could have been one good outlet, but I'm saying no to it for now.

There shall be better days ahead. At least, we still have a month till school starts for me and swithart. Being homebound is the easiest and most comfortable thing to do today especially that I have a lot of reasons to reminiscence so many beautiful memories in the past since today is my late father's birthday. He could have been 72 years old now. Oh how I missed him so badly. I talked with my sisters for several hours on the phone and we had a great time laughing all the sadness away. Now I am ready for Sunday to be over. But I can't force it though so I'll just make most of what's left for today to enjoy and cherish! I hope you have a wonderful start of the week! (Sure, Sunday is the first day of the week that's why I say start! ;-))

Death and Security

My
sister in Japan has a very sad news for me this morning when I woke up. Her dear mother-in-law passed away today, on the same date of my late father's birthday. I got sad, considering that her mother-in-law was one very special and remarkable woman in their lives. It has been a tough struggle, physically, because her mother-in-law suffered from a brain aneurysm and had a heart problem as well. Now, her husband's whole family is in mourning. The consoling part of it is the her MIL left them with a funeral insurance. I thought how lucky the family is for having such kind of security after a tough struggle. When my father died 12 years ago, we were left with nothing, and so, it was really hard for us financially.

That made us learn our lesson today. Yes, my family have a term life insurance to prepare and secure our future, especially that of our daughter. I definitely am in favor for insurance services because I am sure of its huge benefits when the circumstance takes place. That's why I gifted my dear mother with a life insurance for herself which I am still paying until now.

If you reside in Australia, there is an australian life insurance that is a leading insurance provider there. You can check it via aussie.com.au if you are interested or if you have any inquiries. Term life, funeral, or death and accident insurance are very beneficial for everyone, especially for a family. I wonder if you have the same view like me. If you do, then sites like aussie.com.au is one very relevant link to you then!
