tenk U, tenk U, payU!!! :)

Yes indeed, paid blogging these days are kinda slow, but oh thank you, thank you PayU2blog for keeping an eye on me. You see, I only have a single blog at them and so I only receive assigned tasks that are so minimal. But, for the second time now, PayU2blog surprised me with their star-studded opportunities [LOL] which always makes my eyes grew big every time I receive some. Here's what I am talking about:

Those assignments that have stars are, I must say, special ones for me. Yep, yep, and for that, I am so thankful. As I've said, I only have a single blog registered with them but I, receiving blessings like these makes me grateful. Once and for all, I am writing to express, not to impress, and thanks a lot PayU2Blog for the value you've given me. If you receive the same assignments from them, too, you know what I'm talking about, don't ya? Here's how the star is being define:

Again and again, blessings come with hard work, and because I strive to write to earn some, I thank PayU2blog and some other blogging companies and advertisers for giving me tasks that defines and enables my writing power to continue to be at work!

It's a Boy!!!

To our very dear friends The Malak Family, congratulations for the newly born baby boy you've got just today! The photo in the left side shows Janice who was starting to experience contractions a week ago [yep it was just last Sunday when we gave her a baby shower party] and around noontime today, baby Joshua came out with no problem at all! Yay! Everybody is excited to see the baby boy, can you tell? I am even wanting to proceed to the hospital right after Jerry, the ever-proud dad called to inform us of the successful delivery but I know how much they wanted privacy right now so I am hanging in here and wait for their announcement of the allowed time visitation. As for big sister Amy, she can't contain her happiness for having granted her wish of having a baby brother as they didn't wanted to know the gender of the baby ahead of time. She stayed with us this morning when Jerry was rushing to the hospital and when they were settled, swithart dropped Amy off to be with her family at the delivery room and before that, she was all smiling and quite nervous too for her mom. Now with a younger brother, she can't wait to shower him with so much love, care, and toys. :D

We are so happy for the family and oh what a great Christmas celebration this year will be in their household. They are a very athletic and sports-minded people and so it would not be a problem at all on what to give them as presents. I think sportsgiftswarehouse.com has a huge selections of sports gifts and this should help us with gift ideas for friends and family members whose lives involved sport activities. Meanwhile, congratulations once again to the Malak Family!

for such a time like this...

Heard about the latest act of terror in Mumbai, the capital of India? I may be late in my reaction to such happening but when I was watching the prime time news last night, oh how sooooo painful it is to see many innocent victims lost their lives to such merciless act of people whose hearts are like stones. Who would have thought and imagine that a building like this, the Taj Majal Hotel in Mumbai will turn out to be a fiery place for hostages and bodies harmed by terrorists?

See that? How scary and heartbreaking is it? I couldn't even define how trembling this instance is! And to see the bodies of the victims in one of the subways where the act of terror has taken place is surely devastating, sad, and tormenting.

I have gotten teary-eyed while watching the hundreds of photos at Yahoo where I've grabbed these and oh I couldn't help the loved ones of the victims in this image. We are surely nearing the end times when people say peace, peace, and yet peace is nowhere to be found [Matt 24:6,7; Luke 21:25-28]. For such a time like this, all I could do is to lift my head in prayer and hope that the victims' family will find comfort in the words of Jesus that all these kinds of commotions and terrors will one day end when He will come again in the clouds of glory to bring an end to wars and death, and give His reward to the faithful ones [Rev. 22:12; 2 Thess. 2:7,8].

A Small Business Will Work

Whenever I chat with old friends who are scattered around the world, one of their questions to me is: what do I do? What do I work? I do have the same question to them as well so it's fair enough. :) But when I give them my blogs' URLs, they then understand what I do for living. At least for now. But with how tough our economy these days, I can't wait to go out and start working outside. Our financial budget is very much affected by the economic crunch and there is this small business for sale sign that I am wishing I could buy especially that I know I can do some miracle in it in having it get back to have a massive sale. Yes, I do have background in advertising strategies and someday soon, hopefully I could contribute to my sisters' plan of doing a business partnership together. It may just be a small business but with a group of people who'll strive hard to work for the success of it, I am sure it can stand.

still up

I am taking my time right here. Yesterday, I was up and around, busy at the kitchen and was able to spend a little time online to face my blogs. Late in the afternoon until night time, I was ironing several of our clothes that needed to be pressed and hanged, especially our Sabbath dresses and swithart's suits. Ahh... I have had a very tiring time with men's suits! Hehe... my fault, though because they're supposed to be brought to a pro dry cleaner but I reckoned I could do it like a machine. I tried. I made it. But I was dead tired after two pairs of my husband's suit. :D And then I reorganized our closet, gotten rid of the linens stocked in there but haven't worn or used even for once. It's a good thing that I have bought this plastic container at the Dollar Tree which is really good for my pressed clothes and bed sheets. It was cheap and yet huge. Now I am seeing much more organized bedroom. I just have to because we're in a very little-spaced situation and swithart's and Triz's stuff keep blocking my way and so I have to extend my effort to clean my way out. Mommyness, eh? Now I am left alone here; my roommates have been snoring like a pro [LOL], makes me have an even hard time to sleep because they're noisy! LOL I just have to do one or two more tasks as I am planning to take a day off tomorrow from writing. That is, if triple P won't be giving out opps for me! :) But I'll drop still, like I have in the last days. Have a great time friends!

Audio Books

I am such a voracious reader! People around me knows I am one. In fact, it's what my aid is for sleep. When I found out I was going to be having a child, I even intentionally increased the intensity I was feeling and having in reading so I could let my child learn the love of reading. Even when I was pregnant, I read and read some more-- books that I love and magazines that I subscribed to. When a friend of ours gifted me with an audio book about parenting, it's when I started listening to the story in the book rather than reading it. I then became so addicted to hearing more stories told by a narrator and a story teller through the audio CDs that I've discovered at the public library here. Now with my toddler in tow, we regularly head to the library for children's DVDs and books. Yes, that include audio books! And very recently, I've learned about audible.com and how I could have free audio books to download. Perfect, eh? Ahh... I'm gonna be searching from their collections and compilations of books as I am all set to download the first ever audio that I'm gonna like. Now who among you loves reading books? If you do, do you love listening, to? And if you still do, then audible.com must be a perfect site for you!

target: house in vegas!

Before SIL left for London last Tuesday morning for her Thanksgiving getaway, we talked Monday night and she instructed me an online task which is not really heavy by I must say, time-consuming. That is, to find a house in Las Vegas! How's that? Just when large companies have been filing for bankruptcy, employees have been laid-off, houses have been foreclosed, here we are, trying to find a house where we could settle in Las Vegas! Any suggestion or help you guys could offer? I'd appreciate that big time! I do know of Las Vegas properties available online and I do have the backgroud and basic knowledge on what to look for however, you may want to share what you know to be a good way or source for me to accomplish this task. Well, we three here [SIL, the husband, and me] are doing this though but since it's me who spend much more time browsing the internet than them, then I might be the one to find what we're looking for. Hint, anyone? :)

Firefold's HDMI Products

Did you remember that I've mentioned before in my previous posts that I bought a TI-83 Plus calculator for my dear husband? Yep, he does have a TI-89 for his Dimensions of Numerical Reasoning Class where he is the teacher but for his Technology for Teachers Class where he is a student, he was required to make three different programs in a TI-83 Plus calculator which will be one of their requirements for the finals and will be presented in the class. Now the TI-83 Plus calculator's package doesn't have a cable in it that connects to the computer and so, he has been asking me to find him a cheap HDMI cable that will match that of the calculator and the computer. And firefold.com is the perfect place to get one! It's not really cheap alright, but because of the Black Friday madness, I am getting a good deal! Firefold by the way doesn't only sell HDMI products but so much mor electronic accessories as well. Check them out and find something in their search finder! It's easy and fast!

my black-friday buy

Well, it's not for me but for sweetheart! When the clock hit 12am a couple of hours ago, I received more than one emails of the black friday newsletters announcing their deal for today. Most are electronics, and oh how tempting it is to get a new digital camera. BUT, I am so proud for how self-controlled I was! LOL I figured my current 8MP Canon Powershot still works and so I am passing on those goodie deals. Hehe... I was browsing the below $100 items, and then the below $50, and the last was below $20. And finally, I ended up adding this super-saver 8GB flash drive which is soooooo needed by swithart! With that value, ahhh... whose gonna argue with such awesome deal I got? :)

Colon Cleansing

I have recently attended a health seminar and forum about detoxification. It goes with vegetarianism, though not full, but seeing to it that one eats less meat and carbohydrates but more on fruits, vegetables, and root crops. I believe so that it could be one way of detoxifying one's body, especially the drinking of a lot of water first thing in the morning followed by salads and fruits. Well, we just had our turkey today and looks like we're needing some kind of supplement for colon cleanse! Hmmm... I think I will find it hard to follow a strict detoxification diet as I am a rice-eater twice a day! Hehe... I guess it's just fine though. But I am considering what Co-Clean supplement can do to me. The packet says it could cleanse and purify one's system, increase vitality and energy, is a powerful detoxifier that flushes dangerous toxins, and will detoxify to beautify one's body. Don't they sound to be so good to you? Hah! How about trying it for yourself?

lookin' around

I'm standing by still at this point in time. It's late I know, but I am still chatting with my sister in Japan. We haven't had a really long talk for two weeks now and so when I e-mailed her early tonight to ask how they're doing, she e-mailed me right away and then our chatting began. I've been IMing with a couple of friends, too and I can't help but share some talks about the sad news that happened around the world. Our great Thanksgiving Day here has passed and we had a wonderful time, and yet, people around the world are mourning. We've been tuning in to a local radio station [Bombo Radyo CDO] back home via the internet and it makes us feel we're so close to home, but we can't help but be sad for all the bad and cruel news that's going on in any parts of the world. In times like this, it is best to lift up our heads and say a little prayer. I am but most thankful that all of my loved ones are doing well.

Hmmm... Could It Be?

Well, I am wondering if I could consider giving car parts as a gift to someone who I know needs a certain one. What do you think? Ok, so what happened was, early today, a friend of mine who's living in Florida says she's needing something for her car. It's an accessory really and a stuff that she badly needs for her steering wheel. And I figured another friend of mine who's from Oklahoma sells car parts and accessories, too which could be ordered at eBay. Interesting, huh. I have wondered for a possibility of buying one from them and just ship it to Florida where my friend's address is but when I looked at my friend's eBay store, nah.. they don't have what I was looking for; instead, recommended me the buyautoparts.com website for a complete list of auto parts and accessories. Sure enough, I found what I am looking for and the next thing I have to ask is if my wish is possible. Hmmm... I gotta consult buyautoparts.com's contact us part about it! So what do you think friends? :)

Oh.. hope you had a great thanksgiving day!

The day is about to end. How did you start it friends? I started mine with making marinade for my turkey to be roasted. I broiled it for one and a half hours and baked it for four hours. We munched on it for lunch which was a little late but we all had fun! We've been glued on the TV to watch the Macy's Thanksgiving day parade and then after it, we've had a movie. It's nice to have a break from these all and today is one beautiful day. Now, I wish you all to...

Home Security For Everyone's Safety

Securing one's home from malicious and dangerous people outside pays a lot. No, not only the stuff and the valuable things inside our homes are the ones that do need protection and security; it's the people that we dearly love who are the most important. The test of having a home security device has just occured to us very recently. My teen niece-in-law, Cyndi, stays at her dad's house during the weekdays.
One night, at around 10 pm, her classmate and friend left their house after doing a group project for their Science class. Cyndi, for some reason, forgot to double lock their front door when her friend left late that night when she immediately head to the bathroom to do her toothbrushing for the night. While in the bathroom, she noticed a comotion somewhere in their living room so she immediately went out of the bathroom to see what's going on. She was told by her dad, who still was up watching a late night show on TV that a big black guy who wore a mask got inside their house and tried to find somebody who doesn't lived there. There was no dangerous thing that happened though and Cyndi's dad's loud voice and huge physique plus an emergency call to the 911 made the unknown man left. It happened just so quick alright but the trembling and fearful incident made the household realize that a home security is 100% important for everyone's safety.

Has the same incident happened to you or to someone you know? Have you considered securing your home using security devices? ADT Products can help you with what you've been striving for towars securing your home. They have a new device, a SafePass Touchpad that provides an easier way to set your security system. Check ADT's website and see what other options available for you in giving you and your entire household the peace and security you need.

i'm flooded. and i'm tired.

If you may noticed it, I have updates in all of my three blogs. Now that I am about to end my day [this late??? :D], I am wondering if I really did write all of those posts I've published. Whew! I am feeling like I am one superwoman here! LOL. Ok, so this is all because I am flooded with opportunities to write and so I am taking the most of it. Thanks to swithart for constantly reminding me to not take it seriously, to mind my strained eyes, to take a break once a while, and to even leave the computer. Yes, I did all of that because I am that obedient, and even more, like chatting with In-in, but I did what I felt like I needed to do to not let those opps passed by me. :) I am flooded with tasks and now, I am dead tired. Do tell me about it! Have I written nonsense stuff? Because I know I do. Sometimes. And so I beg your pardon then. Hahaha! Well, have a great time dropping by and see you all tomorrow! God bless....

what's for turkey day?

Ok, I have wished that we could go travel even for a short distance for this week's break, but seeing how busy our daddy is with his paperworks, I have stopped wishing. I am worried and sad that we might have to leave this place soon and yet, I haven't stepped foot on the state capital yet- Springfield, Illinois. Yeah, I've passed by the interstate highway but it's different to give the place a tour, right? It's just an hour away from here but it seems like it's a million miles! Sigh. But I'm crossing fingers though: we'll be able to give Springfield a visit before we'll leave this place. :) Anyways, tomorrow is Wednesday already and oh how time flies soooo fast. So what's up for Thanksgiving Day? Hmm... I have yet to get my turkey tomorrow because I would really want to roast one. We're just here and I will just have to bear with swithart's schedule. We can get over this someday soon and I will just have to cooperate. Hehe... I would like to greet advance happy birthday by the way to my chat buddy In-in who will be turning a year older on the very Turkey Day. I envy her for the double the celebration they'll be having [hehe] and I wish we could meet each other in person before we'll move to another place for a new settlement. How's that In? :)

into Macau

I have been waiting for my sisters and nieces in CDO to share with me the photos of their recent activities back there but until now, I didn't receive anything in my inbox. I often tell them that I regret giving them those digicams because they are not giving me what I am simply asking from them. LOL Well, they often reason out that they will not share anything with me because I might just be drooling over their happenings and that I will be truly jealous of how much fun and enjoyment they're having in every huge event they celebrate. They actually know it will put some smile on my face and joy in heart but they're just putting it on hold for forever and that gives me the thrill of seeing them even just in photos. I am still waiting until now and I don't mind if they'll let me wait till forever. Meanwhile, my Ate Jonah in Macau has shared with me her beautiful shots in the place and here they are:
:)
Doesn't the place looks like a European atmosphere? Hmmm...

I know of Macau to be the Las Vegas in Asia and Ate Jo did tell me about the whats and the what nots in the place. She also said the buildings and the infrastructures are kind of like those in the European surroundings. Hmm... interesting place, huh. Have you been to Macau friends?

friendster once again

Just when I thought I have to lie low from Friendster and start being active at Facebook, I have gotten connected with my high school best guy friend Joseph. After soooooo long a time of not seeing him in person, just this very morning, when I checked my friendster account, he wrote in my messageboard asking me to add him up. I am the gladdest to have him found me there! Cool really as I would love to know what's the latest of him! He is in Dubai right now and I am happy for him. I am expecting to chat with him via YM and I can't wait. There are a lot of bits and pieces of life's happenings that we would love to exchange with, and I am so excited. We are the best of friends in high school as we live in the same place. He knew my struggles and I knew his', and people around us thought we're romantically involved but we were not. We're just like brothers and sisters, and we both consider ourselves best friends. Now I can't wait for him to buzz me at YM. There'll surely be a lot of things to share about our lives. :)

on time now...

Did I tell you how much I am spending with my online shopping addiction? LOL Nah... I don't really spend a lot. I am controlled you know! I only buy stuff which I believe I could get it cheaper than getting it at the store. Yesterday, I got my wristwatch after four days of ordering it and voila, I loved it very much!!!

It's actually just an Activa brand, but it's brand new and I got it at a totally cool price. Now I can't get enough of wearing it. LOL Sure, I still have my old one which I bought from Philippines during our vacation but Triz is playing with it all the time and if you haven't known it, I am the type who find it uncomfortable without a watch in my wrist. Yep, it's the only accessory I put on and so, I need to always have one. I don't know, I am too time-conscious that every now and then, I tend to want to know what time is it at a certain point. Okay, so there, I am treating myself to this gorgeous watch that I have. Now what's next? Hmm... I'll tell you about it soon!

morning dropping?

I let my alarm clock sounded at 4am but darn, my eyes weren't cooperative at all. You see, I tried to wake up that early to do my dropping task first but I just couldn't force my eyes to open. I got out of bed at 6am to say good bye to SIL who left for her flight to London. And then I went back to bed. Again. After an hour, my hands finally reached the start up button of my lappy to have it turned on and then I have started my online activity. BUT I am cut up when BIL in Cebu got online and wants to chat with us. And so, just right now, we have finish the chat. Hmm... so my goal of waking up early to do my dropping task first was not made possible at all. I've started though but I am never good at finishing them in an hour! There's just a lot of destructions that catch me and for now, Triz has already woke up and so it's time to do breakfast!

back moi

Yes people, I've been taking a break from my blogger accounts over the weekend and I am loving it! I even took a break from EC dropping and though my blogs' traffic were affected, I don't mind it because I felt like I deserved the break! I need to lessen the amount of time I am spending staring at my monitor because my eyes aren't cooperating it seems. My curent eyeglasses is not working anymore and contact lenses are just too much of a hassle. I wish I can get a new pair of glasses but I have to find an eye doctor here first. Hooh, I wish I can just fly home to Philippines to do all these necessary stuff that I need to do! We are being sent an email from a travel agency regarding a promo to a Philippine travel that has an airfare which is really affordable, like around $400 round trip from Chicago to Manila. That's really sounding to be soooo good, but I hate the fact that I need much moolah once there. Hmmppp! The, the, the..... argh! I better hope I could take more rest and relaxation for my eyes so I won't make my eye condition worsen!

Endless Shopping

It is hard to resist an item when it's on sale, will you agree with me? The one where you get to pay less than it's half price? Oh, don't get me going, as I know very well when to shop and where, and I couldn't stop myself in buying a lot when most of what I want and like are on sale! Whew! And swithart doesn't like to be with me during that time when I am hooked to clearance and bargain tags! LOL Can you blame him? Of course, if you're a shopper like me, you wouldn't blame me as well! :) And now that I am splurging myself in shopping online, buy.com is my perfect destination for my techie stuff! What not to like about buy.com? Their prices seem to be always on sale, and the free shipping offer is just too good to not grab. Check them out if you're up for electronic stuff!

tgif, yehey!!!

Swithart surprised me late last night before we slept: that he don't have a class today because all of his students asked for it. A lot of his co-instructors have given their classes a break and so this time, he is so kind to his students. That said, I am so happy! :) Yes, he won't be going to school today then, and the whole week next week for the Thanksgiving break! Yay!!! But this morning, I am feeling dizzy and fainting as I woke up with a slight headache. Hmmppp! Now he's the one who's asking a favor from me: to give myself a break from the computer. What a generous request, eh? Well, I am that kind of a wifey you know and so today, I might be OFF from your blogs my friends. Yes, I think it is a good benefit for me to take a time off, a day off from my blogs, so after this entry, I won't be posting any more yet. I have to reach a doze of Tylenol for my headache, and I have to give my computer its break, too! Have a great weekend you all and enjoy!

I Damaged $108

Yep, you read my title right! We went out for grocery shopping this afternoon at Wal-mart and our sole purpose is to simply buy groceries that we run out of, but the C.L.E.A.R.A.N.C.E. rack in the clothing's section gave us a detour! Hmp!!! So what happened was swithart and I have bought 108 pieces of tees and shorts-- quite a lot, huh? Yep yep, Wal-mart sold their remaining summer items for $1 a piece and I was so tempted! There were of the same color and style and swithart have thought of getting several to give out to the employees working at the poultry farm back home in CDO, and the good and cute shorts and t-shirts for him and her are perfect for everybody back home! Lemme tell you, we really got a lot, as in a huge lot! Now we are up to ship these one again but the few will just be carried by hand by SIL when she flies home next month! Hmmm... we have damaged $108 just for the clothes but it was a worthy buy! :)

HELP!!!

Okay, seriously, I am needing help right here!
A friend of ours is going to have a baby shower this coming Sunday and I don't know what to give. What I know is that the family is entirely ready for the baby and everything, as in E.V.E.R.Y.T.H.I.N.G. is up-- the nursery and all the baby and mother stuff. The invitation I got was only handed through last night when the pregnant's husband dropped it off here at home. Thing is, this family has been so good to us ever since. They helped us with anything and everything- LITERALLY, and our friendship is beyond compare. This family is truly amazing in their helpfulness towards other people. The husband said we don't have to give anything and he begged us not to buy anything for them. They just want our presence on that day because he want to introduce us to all their other friends whom we don't know yet. Now, being in this place and in this country, it is a shame (YES IT IS I think!) to not bring anything to give when attending parties, BUT this time, I don't really know what I will give because I know they have everything, materially. What I know is that the family loves my cooking, so swithart suggested to just bring some foodies that they will enjoy. Any ideas you might share? I'd appreciate that big time!

And oh, you might want to see what's up in here!!!

The New York Bus Charters

I am so excited when we got a response from a university in New York where Jon has applied for a teaching position. Actually, it was no big deal a reply because it was just a receipt of acknowledgment that their Human Resources office has indeed received the application materials that Jon has submitted. Well, two days ago, last Monday to be exact, the dean called him and asked for a proper time to be set for a phone interview! Whew, that fast! And so, thinking of moving to New York has been a constant talk between me and him. I guess it's still too far to decide and to finally reach the right decision, but just thinking about the whole situation, I am all for moving out! :)

But honestly, I am not really a hundred percent conveyed that life in NY would be what I want. What I believe is that going for a trip to New York is what I want the best, not living there. Well, we'll see what will take place. Meanwhile, when one is going for a visit to New York, or even still planning for a getaway there, consider New York Bus Charters for a good transportation to carry you to a tourist spot destination. What's great about using NY Bus Charters is that it is so comfortable and convenient when you are traveling as a family or as a group. NYCbuscharters.com has been operating for over 20 years now and with such a long time, it's been proven and tested to be a quality transportation industry. Do check the site now for inquiry on their online service as they have a 24-hour customer assistance with friendly staff ready to help and assist you with your inquiries.

finally done!

The trip to the car shop, that is! So our van's back mirror has now been replaced with a new one after having it cracked and broke to pieces last Saturday night for reasons we don't know at all. I thought it was hit by a stone of which somebody threw when swithart parked it at our church's parking area last Saturday night. When the entire glass' broken pieces started to fall in the inside of the van, swithart thought it was just some ices that got melted since it was too cold last Saturday and was snowing. But he was wrong, it was all the mirror that broke to thousand pieces! And so we had it fixed last Tuesday morning as appointed last Sunday. It cost us $350, really hurting our pocket but at least, it's good now. And then I couldn't help but wonder what does that breaking implicates. I am no supersticious believer but more often than not, back home, when a certain breakable stuff breaks even without someone intentionally put force in it, it signals something sad and negative thing that had happened; usually, death. I personally have experienced such and even my family members, too. And so, what happened to our van's mirror really put me into query. This, this is what I am gonna continue later on when I could talk to someone back home and ask them about someone, and something. Keep posted! :)

sooo awake!!!

I am becoming a zombie tonight! LOL I hate it when I could take a nap in the afternoon like I did yesterday because I find it so hard to sleep during my regular bed time. It should have been good because I have let myself learned to retire as early [or maybe late to you!] as 11:30 in the evening every night but because I was feeling so lazy and sleepy yesterday, now, I am not feeling sleepy at all due to that one-hour-nap I've taken with my toddler! Right now, my roommates have been snoring and all my roommates are in their lala-land, but here I am, unable to close my eyes no matter how I try. I can feel a tingling pain in my gums when the part where my tooth was pulled out almost two weeks ago was accidentally hit by my toothbrush, ouch! And so I took my Tylenol with Codeine to help ease the pain. Now, I'll just take my chance to write one or maybe two more of my assignments so I can have something nice to see being done, not only splurging myself to online shopping and eBaying! LOL

friendster

So many are complaining about Friendster in the past days because it has been said there's a bug in their system that screwed the members data up. Well, I worried at first when I lost my 217 friends because I only got 13 friends left out of my 230 in my lists. Friendster has become a part of my almost daily life because I have been checking it almost everyday and it's through it that I get to check my friends' update who are not so fond of e-mailing and chatting, or most often than not, don't have time to do so. Now, friendster has been back to normal I guess as my friends' list is now up, but guess what, I am checking my facebook now more than I did in the past. Is this because of how the friendster turned sour in the past days? I don't know! But it's funny why there are people on friendster who are bickering and fighting when the site is intended for making friends. :) Heck, I am not meaning to offend anyone right here friends! I just find it funny. :)

laziness stroke!!!

Yeah, I am becoming so lazy today! :D I woke up as early as 7am this morning and I immediately hit my keyboard after my me-time to check my YM because it has been two times that I missed my sister in CDO who have gone online and I woke up so late. So earlier, I did open my YM but they were not online. :( My two other roommates didn't get up until 10am so I had a lot of time being just with myself. I made breakfast and lunch as early as I could-- tuna fish soup and corned beef with eggs, plus canned corns with butter. When I am all done in the kitchen, I had my time to face my computer when Triz won't mind but then I am feeling so lazy today! There are a couple of tasks that I should write but I just couldn't feel any urge to do so. But I am enjoying my chatting with In-in, of course! Hahaha... we've got a lot of funny stories to tell and it just made my day! It is still too early this afternoon when I called Triz to come in our bedroom and have her lie down beside me in bed and eventually, we dozed off for our nap. Yay, I am becoming lazy and sleepy! But I've dropped my cards to those who are in my inbox though so I have accomplished a good task! :D

ready to retire

It's quite been a long day today for me. I woke up early like what I have shared down below and swithart headed to the car shop to have our van doctored. It was all done now and we hope to have it running for longer time. LOL Well, I haven't done a lot online but I am glad I made my dropping successful for today. It's crazy when I have a lot to do online and yet, chatting with In-in is never taken for granted. It's hard when we could start a single buzz or just a line, or even a word or two because we find it hard to stop the chat. We are chit chatters big time, I know! Swithart has noticed I got tired and my eyes strained and so he wanted me to stop facing my computer. He didn't demand though and so I went to Friendster and stand by for a while to upload some photos. My sister back in CDO wishes to see more new photos so there, I granted her wish. Meanwhile, my Ate Eve in HK hasn't waited to call me when she already received the mail I sent them with the photos. She was overjoyed and so she expressed it by calling me right away even if she was on duty. Well, I am ready to retire now friends so till then! Have a wonderful time everyone!

good start

It is so nice to have talked with my HS best friend Sha from Florida over the phone. Yep, she called me earlier, 7:20am, early enough to wake me up to start my day off! Indeed, it's great to have chatted with her for 50 minutes! Yep, we finished talking at 8:10am! It's just great that Triz didn't mind me when I was too noisy and laughed a lot. She just listened while she closed her eyes. I know she's aware but she didn't want me to get up so I just stayed beside her and she continued to be in slumber even with my noise. I loved having heard Jassy, too, her 7-month-old baby girl! She was cooing and was saying her baby words and oh I can't wait to see them both! I've learned that Sha is having her review right now for her NCLEX and that she's sending Jassy to the daycare. We've got plans to see each other soon, and I hope everything will turn out well. :) Thanks for the early morning call Sha! It truly made a great start for my Tuesday!

i made magic!!!

Haha! Well, I did awesome when it comes to how I have spent my day so far and I feel like I deserve some applause right here. Yoohooo!!! Of course I didn't use any magic wands at all, what are you thinkin? Well, I am just glad that as early as 6:30pm, I am done with my tasks here at home and I have made a good 600 drops for my two blogs, not to mention I was able to comment and read a lot of those blogs I have been to. I have also visited other blogs in my roll that don't do EC and let them feel my presence. Hmm... I have done a couple loads of laundry, made dinners, play with Triz, done my shower, and write a lot of entries for today. I have chatted with friends in between my works, and just recently, I've talked with my sisters for a good 30 minutes airtime. I am no superwoman but I am feeling great to have done all these and now I am ready to retire for the night. :) I wish you all friends a wonderful time!

gone are the autumn afternoons...

Yes, gone are the Fall afternoons when it's not really that cold to go out and head to the park and let our toddler play as long she wants and enjoys! It has been our routine every warm afternoon when dadi comes home earlier, usually during Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Triz's favorite has been the slide and oh how she loves it! There is an indoor playground though at the ISU campus and since we've got an ID, we do have access to it, especially the indoor swimming pool so we still get to have our swimming session.

Last Saturday, we had our first drop of snow. The pouring down lasted for only 20 minutes though so it didn't really accumulate. We were driving in the car on our way going home from church so sorry Anne, I didn't mind the camera during that time! LOL We were so glad and all smiling as we watched the snow fell to the streets and the car but it melted right away so there was no chance to take a snap of it when we got home. Today though, we are expected to be showered with snow so if it's that thick, I'll be clicking my camera for it! :) Right now, there are already flurries falling from the sky but just that, flurries. And the temperature doesn't invite me to go out so I am seeing the outside view through our window.

Hmm... it's really winter time now, huh! Yes it is, and I am starting to feel the Christmassy spirit by now! Ahhh... makes me homesick even more! Here's us by the way during one of the afternoons we're out in the playground at the nearby park.

Doesn't our Triz looks so funny and cute in her pose? Haha!

i wish we could...

Yep, I have a wish to happen next week since it's going to be a week of break for our student here! Hehe... No, I don't intend to go to London with SIL who's gonna be flying there for her Thanksgiving getaway. I mean, I wish I can go with her but it's too impossible to ask for it for now. All I am wishing is just a trip to Springfiled, Illinois. Yes, that easy. But I have no idea how possible it is, given swithart's busyness in life! LOL I joked at him that Triz and I will go, and if Ma and Pa would love to go with us, then great. But how can I when I don't have my valid license anymore? Haha and huhuhu! Anyway, he just console me to just bond with each other next week, even just being home. We'll just dine out, and maybe shop, or probably head out to the newly-opened and renovated museum. Argghhh I am becoming impatient with a lot of things going on right here!, especially swithart's paperworks, but thinking of next week's break, I am excited for the turkey, baby! LOL

orange for a good start

Who could go wrong with Florida Navel Oranges?

I woke early today, 6am and I was anxious to grab a piece of a yellowish Navel Orange to fill my thirsty and dry throat caused by the dry air from the furnace. We didn't have the humidifier on yet so I am always having such condition every morning. Are you not? Well anyway, the orange truly helps. I used to eat grapefruit every morning but this time, Navel Oranges is what we have, in fact a full box of it which we order at our church's fruit-selling activity and last Saturday night, a truck all the way from Florida arrived to drop off the boxes of fruits to our church. So in the next week or maybe two, we won't be buying oranges at Wal-mart or Cubs then. What's so great about having this full box is that these navel oranges from Florida are just the sweetest! SIL even kidded that there's no more vitamin C in these oranges anymore because you can never taste even a bit of sourness in it! Well, I sometimes wonder the same thought, too, but heck, I guess just by it's name orange, one can't go wrong!

monday blues?

Nah... I don't have that! But my SIL has, especially that she still has loads of paperworks to do for this week! It's going to be a Thanksgiving break for her next week and so before that, she's due to submit three 90+ pages of research papers. Isn't that a burden? Haha.. The pain of being a graduate student, eh? O course, swithart is no exception to that! He is also having his share of monday blues as well, especially that he has a two-week assignment due today, i.e., making three programs in a TI-83 Plus calculator from a problem given to them by the professor. I think he's already done with his' but a couple of his classmates have been e-mailing and calling him asking for help. And just when the helpfulness in him strikes- he's there to offer what he knows that others don't. Oh... it's a cold Monday to start the busy week off right here, and the weather forecast tells that it's going to be snowing later today so I hope to make this day a fun one for everybody 'round here! Hope you all have a marvelous day!

stay-at-home beauty

Yep, it's what we've been up to today! We played all day long, eat together, and right now, the homemade bread we made is smelling right here! No, I won't post some photos of it cause I know friends will be drooling over it! :P It was cold today, but we went out for a while early noon to check the back mirror of our van which seemed to have been cracked and sure enough, we were right. So tomorrow, it's going to be a trip to the car shop. :( I can't wait till next week cause it's going to be a Thanksgiving break! Hmmm... another turkey for me! LOL But I am too jealous of SIL who's gonna be flying to London for her Thanksgiving getaway. I had a lot of cleaning up done in my pc to get rid of some files to lessen the occupied space in my memory. I had a load of Sunday right here, but perfect to start the week off! How's your day friends?

we had a great day!!!

Oh yes, does this photo above defines rest and relaxation? Sure! Because me and my toddler Triz had so much fun this afternoon before taking a looooong nap! Dadi slept ahead of us as you know, Triz and I are teammates when it comes to sleeping routine! We were watching a show on 3abn.com with children singing songs and playing instruments and we thought of doing the actions, too. We had so much fun just in the bed and guess what, Triz pointed at my digital camera when she saw it as I placed it on the most top of the shelf where I placed my laptop and her suggestion: "picture mum!" So there, we caught ourselves smiling and goofing around. Lemme tell you, I have bunch of those shots and several had with dadi's sleeping head captured, too. Just so funny a shot, really!

So you see, we had a great day today. We were at church this morning and I loved it when we went out after the service because it was windy and seems like darkening and then we had our first drops of snow! Yes, snow baby, snow! Yey, we get to wear our new snow boots then! LOL Sure, I am not loving the cold, but the snow? Ahhh... it's beauty is just irresistible! Anyways, I get to talk to my Ate Eve in HK and we are so glad Ate Jonah has officially started her tenure there, too when her visa finally came out last Thursday. I still have to call Yaya in Japan and I can't wait what good news she's gonna share with me tonight. I hope you all had a great weekend!

Thank God Its Friday Pictures, Images and Photos
You see, I am early today! Well, I have to wake up earlier [i.e., if 6:30am is early for ya!] for after my me-time [morning reading of my daily devotional book], I gotta proceed to doing my online tasks before the toddler wakes up cause when she will, I won't be facing my lappy no more. I've got loads of chores to do today because TGIF for me is heavy. Tomorrow is Sabbath and so I gotta finish what I have to end for the week. It's the day that comes after Friday that I love the most. It will be a week already since I have this tooth of mine extracted. Yay, a week of being one tooth less! LOL Anyways, I may have a lot of chores to do today, particulary ironing and cleaning up, but I am grateful for good health for everyone around. I wish my loved ones and friends away from me are in the same excellent condition, too, and I wish all of you a wonderful weekend ahead!

MS Nursing at Saint Xavier University

The demand of hospital and clinical nurses and resident physicians in this country I believe never drops and so it is a perfect degree to get. I regretted why I didn't take up such course for my bachelor's degree but looking forward to the future, I think I still have time to go for it. A church friend of ours just passed her NCLEX and is now working at a large hospital in Chicago. While my high school best friend Sha in Florida is having her review these days, and hopefully, she will make it. Both of them do have a common goal: to take up MS nursing after a year or two of experience working in the real world. Like them, I do have my utmost desire of getting a Nursing degree soon. I even wish I could enrol come next semester but I still can't. I always get excited when I come across an online school that offers Nursing programs because I am being given the chance to take the course online. One of these onlince campuses is Saint Xavier University in Chicago and Orland Park with a curriculum fully accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education [CCNE]. They do aim to help their students be provided with personal and professional growth and in the end, that is all that matters. I can't wait for my time to enrol in a nursing course come. And for you out there who are looking for school to enrol to for a nursing degree, take a look at sxuonline.com for more info!

A Super-historical Inauguration

Super-historical... hmmm... is there such term? Well, it is what I am able to come up with with regards to the article I've just read about the January 20,'09 inauguration of President-elect Barack Obama in Washington, D.C. It is estimated to draw a whooping 1 million plus of crowd. Whew and wow, that's a huge number! Hey, will you be there? Haha... It is what swithart's Democrats students' topic-- whether their university will be canceling their class on that day to give the people a chance to go to the place to witness the big day if they want. Well, it would be hard because as early as now, it has been told that hotels and accommodations have stopped receiving bookings because it's already full. There even are people who are offering cash for residents willing to open their homes. Wow! How grand is it going to be, huh? Read the entire story about it here. As for me, I wish I can witness that huge day in person but nah... a live TV broadcast will do. :)

for my family...

Just as we're deeply missing all of my loved ones back home and in some parts of the globe, they feel the same way too with and for us, especially Triz. Every time we talk or text or chat with each other, they're first question is how's Triz. Well, God blessed us and her with good health despite some odds and discomforts sometimes but overall, our toddler is growing so well. Just last Monday, I sent in the mail three envelops which cost me more than $4 each for the postage. They were quite heavy because they all contain pictures of us which I printed and I am sure in a week's time it will be there. When you're away from your family, sending photos of the latest happenings of you makes it sweeter and kind of fill the longing that you all feel. For my family and friends who don't get to see those photos I've sent, here's some of Triz's snaps that shows she's really getting bigger and... brighter!

As for her development and stages, she is doing excellent. She knows what she wants and she expresses it fully. She thinks she's a big girl now and acts like one. But the fact remains the same: she is always our darling.

Gotta Be Fixed 'bout It

I have been slacking real bad with my diet and exercise regimen here. I was chatting with my sisters and seeing each other in a webcam, they thought I have been so slim and I totally have reduced my weight. They even asked me if I am taking one of those diet pills out there and is really working on me. They forgot that I am just a camera friendly [hehe] and swithart's built-in webcam in his laptop works really good in giving me a great view of my face. LOL But honestly, I am still maintaining my weight, which I feel bad about. In the last two months, I have aimed of getting rid of at least five pounds through my hula-hooping via Wii Fit but I didn't succeed because I am too lazy about it. I think I will change though when we could really be finally settled in our very own home. But my goal for now is to really be fixed with my diet cause I am really struggling.

thankfulness!!!

I have shared in my old post in this blog that Triz, our toddler has been cosleeping with us, ever since she was born. And ever since then, she has been sleeping beside me all those nights. No matter how I tried to have her sleep in her own bed, she won't and the dad protested we'll just let her sleep in our bed for as long as she wants. And then I used to complain that I got tired of sleeping beside her because I don't get to move around as she seems to be so selfish in not letting me face any other way but her. Well, when she put her right hand around my neck, that is the sweetest though plus she'll have her face so close to mine that we almost catch each other's breath. I admit, the dad is so jealous of it but he couldn't do anything about it. Everytime I tell Triz to let dadi positioned beside her, she won't allow it. When I want her to be in between, neither will it happen, unless she's sick. And worst, she will never go to sleep without me in tow. LOL But last night though, or should I say all through out the night, for the FIRST TIME ever, she agreed to have dadi sleep beside her, and me? OUT OF PLACE! Hahaha! I was practically happy because my usual and most comfortable lying position is sleeping with my stomach and so I was able to make it without any fuss at all. It was unbelievable how swithart's magic worked well last night. First, they had a wonderful time storytelling and singing and reciting memory verses as well as recalling what happened during the day and I didn't mind them at all. Yeah, I never joined them both in their dialogue. I just slept all by myself, away from the two of them, as if we three had a huge quarel. Well, it worked pretty good. When they got done with their conversation and the dadi said "ok, tulog na ta, close eyes na [ok, it's time to sleep, we gotta close our eyes now], Triz just said "good night dad, good night mom". And that's about it. Sure, I missed being beside with my so lovely daughter but I was so happy to finally have her sleep without me beside her. I thought it will be a great start because who knows, I'll be working soon and I might be on a graveyeard shift. Hehe... So I finally can say that even just with the two of them, they'll make it. Today, I have a lot to be thankful and this one is one huge reason.

such a lazy creature!!!

Yeah, I am these times! I would have wanted so bad to wake up a bit early but shame on me, I did woke up at 6am and after seeing our glass window's reflection of the outside atmosphere which is still dark, I closed my eyes again, not minding the time anymore! Arrghhh.... there are a lot of things I have to do online but I have to tame my laziness these days. I am just thankful that after three days of not being able to drop my EC because of my firefox condition which is so frustrating, yester's struggle enable me to drop 300 for each of my two blogs. I was suggested to use Google Chrome for Entrecard and last night, I installed the browser but I still have to get familiar and used of it. I started using it for dropping before I retired last night and I think it was okay. Oh well, I have to try using it again today and see it it's going to be better than firefox. For now, I have to wish you a great Thursday friends!

3 in november

I missed a lot of things back home. I couldn't even enumerate what I am craving right now. But what I missed big time are the people- my loved ones. For this month, there are three dear people who are celebrating their birthdays: my Ate [older sister], my nephew, and my niece. The dates fall on the 7th, 9th, and 11th. Odd, right? Well, the special days already passed by and until now, I am still waiting for the pictures they tell me they're gonna share. When's that going to be, I have no idea and I am still waiting. I know how busy everybody back home are, busy to find stuff to survive. I wish I can go home next month, but I know how impossible it is. We are up to being ready for a career move anytime a certain placement or job calls. I have a lot of wishes, but I'll leave them all to The One Who knows them all, even without me revealing. :)

tuesday thinkin

Such a gloomy, dark, and cold Tuesday right here! Though all three of us were able to wake up a bit earlier, it wasn't until 9:30am when we got out of our room. Our agenda for today is kind of long as I have to go to the library and let Triz attend a children's story-time in there. But first, we went grocery shopping to Wal-mart and Aldi and I stopped by at the Dollar Tree to get Triz a baseball bat which she has been religiously playing for days now here at home using an umbrella. LOL So when I got out of the store with a couple of baseball bats in my hands, I couldn't paint how huge her smile was seeing me. It's Veteran's Day today so there were several sales which tempted me to get some. Hehe... I love it that swithart doesn't have class today, and we decided to dine out at a Chinese buffet for lunch, just three of us. I am expecting a package in the mail today as the tracking info states it's gonna be delivered today but since it's holiday, the mailmen were on a break. I have a lot of stuff to do still, as for my online things, I am complaining about how Firefox is serving me because I always get a Firefox not responding stuff everytime I drop my EC. There are sites that give me such status and the loading takes forever and eventually, I am told Firefox not responding anymore. Such a pain! It sucks because I have to close the window, reopen, and log in again, and just today, I have been doing the process for four times already. So discouraging and time-consuming. I wonder if you experience the same thing with Firefox. Hmpp!!!!

i am up to...

Not much is going on right here in my part of the world! LOL I haven't gotten tasks to write so I am seizing the moment offline. As I have shared in my previous post, I have had my tooth pulled out last Saturday and so I was just home for the most part of my weekend- resting and bonding with my family. I still got to talk with my sisters Saturday night, reason why my check and the gums where my tooth was extracted is swollen. Also, I lift and do things which I am not supposed to do, blame it on my so-called independence! I do have my medication though so I am fine. Yesterday, I was sleeping for most times, but the three of us made something special in the kitchen: a sweet potato turon which everybody loves. Have you tried it friends?

Anyways, I finished preparing the mails I was trying to send to my sisters in HK, in Japan, and in CDO. I have printed 200+ of 4x6 photos which were taken since August and I segregated them and this morning, swithart mailed them for me. This is the good thing when money-making opportunies are not that kind to me, I get to do what I want to do here at home, not procrastinating at all! I still need to rest and let this gum wounds of mine heal so I have to take it easy whatever thing I am doing here. Swithart and I are both happy because we are receiving positive responses of the job applications he's been sending to several universities here. We both can't wait till he will be called in for an interview. For now, I have my all-out support in finishing his dissertation. He is so blessed to have an advisor who stands with him for help and mentoring no matter what. We are being given a lot of reasons to be happy. We are still poor [hahaha] but we're the most thankful for the littlest blessings we receive. :)

Hope you guys all have a wonderful time!

Nikon D90 Will Do

My current digital camera has been acting up lately. You see, I have cried over a spilled milk when my 2GB SD memory card turned error after I put it in my digital camera's socket. It hurt because there's hundreds of photos in there that were taken at two different occasions I was in. And yeah, I haven't retrieved the photos and there is now way it will be recovered, even if I tried putting it in in a card reader and in my laptop's memory card port. I asked swithart if I could get a new camera this Christmas and seeing the Nikon D90 on sale, he asked if such is my type. Whoah, it's an SLR and therefore, why not? Haha! Well, I don't know. If he's gonna surprise me with a new one, I'll be thankful, but for now, I have to stick to what I currently have. I've got a couple more of SD memory cards anyway so this will work for now. :)

been at the dentist, hmp!!!

Yep, yep, you bet I am hurting right now! Well, I am relieved in a huge part because finally, I have gotten rid of this tooth that I had that's been disturbing me this week. Been at the dentist earlier today, a little cleaning done, since I just had my teeth cleaned before I came back from Philippines last August, and the big task was a tooth removal. Yikes and ouch, I know! But nah... I am all smiles now. :) It was too bad because the tooth pulled out could have been saved through root canal but nah.. I am not willing and I'd rather have it removed. And so it was. I just have to undergo a dental implant the next time I'll go home to Philippines cause it's way cheaper there than here. So now, I am aching a little still, but Tylenol with Codeine is a big time partner! :) So yeah, that's my Saturday! How's yours?

tgif thinkin

Oh, thank God it's Friday, time for another weekend of rest and relaxation! Don't you just love weekends? Unfortunately, tomorrow, I won't be able to go to church because I need to go to the dentist to get rid of this so bothersome tooth I have. Yay, goodluck to me! LOL Anyways, it's been a cold Friday over here! The wind is blowing endlessly and oh how we love to go out to clean up but nah, the cold is unbearable at this time, so Triz and I will just have to settle being stucked in here. We've had a wonderful morning, mind you. My so active toddler has been helping me pretty well with what I made in the kitchen. I cooked asparagus and beef stewed and then she requested a cake because she loved the pancake I made the other day and since I've got several boxes of ready-to-bake moist chocolate, I decided to bake a box and oh.. you must have seen how much of a helper this toddler of mine is! Yeah, she's in the stage of liking to be a part of anything I am doing and with regards to kitchen stuff, I am letting her be a part. Well, I have a lot of tasks to be done here before the day ends, so I gotta get going and hope you all have a wonderful weekend ahead!

wordless smile

I
was talking with my Ate Eve in Hong Kong the other night and she was asking me to send her some new photos of us as she is anxious to see how Triz looks like now. The first and last time that she saw Triz in person was when we were in Philippines last March and she too was able to go home for her daughter's graduation. So we kind of had an awesome siblings' reunion, though we weren't complete that time still. And then after three months of us staying there, Triz was losing a lot of her weight because she wasn't eating that well and she got sick and was even hospitalized. Yes, I did have a lot of photos captured and those just show how thin Triz has become. When Ate Eve saw those pictures, she couldn't believe how much pound Triz had lost. Now, after three months of being back here, everybody can tell Triz has come a long way. Aside from the fact that she's sooo talkative now, her physical structure and her weight has returned to what she is supposed to be normally weighing. With the photos I have uploaded as updates in my Friendster, everybody of my friends and family who are away from us tells me that Triz is now back to her used-to-be looks, not thin, thank God!

Isn't her smile a pain reliever? Haha, wordless eh?
I just received my 225 pieces of 4x6 photos which I've ordered for printing at Wal-mart and I am up to sending my family and friends some copies. With these hundreds of photos, now I have one more task to do: store them again in my photo albums here!

i'm becoming deaf with the silence

Yes, that is what I am feeling right now! It's been more than thirty minutes now that swithart has left with Triz and FIL to go grocery shop for some stuff that we run out of. They wanted me to go with them but I won with my request of just staying here. Hehe... It's good that Triz agreed to go without me because usually, she won't. There have been times that Triz and the dad would attempt to go out, just them, and after just a couple of minutes of leaving me home, they're back with Triz crying looking for me. Haha! Now, she made it without me and I am the happiest with the silence here. It felt like I am single [LOL], but honestly, my thoughts are with them. And so, I am enjoying these moments without Barney playing and a toddler shouting and talking. Hehe... It's not gonna be long when they'll be back and with a good 45 minutes of having my me-time, I could call this a day!

it'll be solved!

It's a cold and wet Thursday here! The sun is now up at this point in time, but earlier, it was gloomy and raining. The ground has a lot of leaves to be raked and cleaned up, but nah... it's not good to do so because it's still wet. We were out earlier and oh it was so windy! Now, I am relieved because I think my toothache problem will be solved soon. Yep, I have an appointment with my dentist this coming Saturday morning, and I would want this tooth of mine be extracted but people around here suggested to have it procedured root canal. But I don't know, I am very pained and frustrated already that I am thinking of getting rid of this single tooth that's been aching since the last couple of days. You see, if only I am in Philippines, I could have made any great way to save this tooth but here, nah, the rate for the dental operations are just too high that even with our current dental plan, I still am not willing to go for any other procedure other than extraction. I got the gum infected already that's why I don't want this to spread. I have been checked the last week of July this year and this has been cleaned and filled but it seems like I am suffering real bad with the infection, so this Saturday, I am planning to have this removed. I'll be fine and wish me luck with it! :D

silent days

Well, not really when you look at the TV or read the news on what's going on right now. It's just been two days since the country has chosen a new president, and even though I am not a US citizen, I am happy for the outcome of the US election. It's obvious, I rooted for Obama. :) And until now, I still can't get enough of what's supposed to be read and watched. So most of my times here, aside from playing with my toddler, I am glued to the television for news and current affairs. I am just amazed with how election in this country happens. Really transparent and quick! So I am calling this post silent days- why that is, simply because I am still not that well with the sore throat and stuffy nose I am having. But I am getting so much better everyday, and Triz is getting fine, too, thank God for she is taking her medications with less hassle and force in letting her take the dosage. BUT I am suffering from toothache since yesterday, and tomorrow, I need to call for a dentist's appointment to help me with this. Arrgghhhh.... I hate dental operations!

introducing my October Top 10 Droppers

And here's the table that shows the sequence and the number of drops that you have given in this blog:

Thank you so much droppers, not only to the top 10 I have especially mentioned but to all of you who keeps dropping your cards on me. It does help my real rank a huge deal, and it makes me maintain my rank of being on the top 10 still. Though I am not getting more drops than many of you probably do, but I am telling you, I do get enough, so I am very grateful. I try to reciprocate each of the drops you've given me as well, and not only that, I read your entries, too, so you've got a dropper and a reader in me! And if the post gets my attention real good, expect my comment on it! So friends....... thank you very much and until next month!

it's the historic Nov 4th '08!

...and if you're a US citizen, did you vote? Are you gonna vote? Oh, please do! I wish I can, but I am not a US citizen, so all I can do is watch and see what's going to happen after the votes have been counted. Of course, I can't wait. SIL has just arrived from Las Vegas from her appointment there and she still has to go to her polling precinct to cast her vote. I kidded her to just go for Obama, after all, she's in the Democrat state, and her voting for McCain will still make Obama win being in the state of Illinois. Well, I guess I couldn't convince her like I can't with anybody out there who hasn't voted yet, but this I wanna leave you:

Good luck and God bless everyone!!!

i'm tagged! "the 7 random facts abOut moi"

I believe I have done this already, but for age and time reasons, I couldn't remember anymore what I have shared in the past. Now, thanks to Signe Says for throwing this tag on me! This is a good way to share a bit about myself.

1. I had my first asthma attack ever last August 28th, 2008, confirming that I am carrying my late father's sickness, which is actually not unusual at all, because my older sisters have the same, too. Now, I am vulnerable to such disease more than ever!
2. I am NOT a sleepy-head person at all! Haven't I shared before that a 3-hour-sleep is bearable and enough for me? So you know I am a zombie! LOL
3. I still missed my late father even after 10 years of his passing. His death anniversary was a couple days ago, Nov. 1st, and I was voiceless when we sung the I come to the Garden Alone [which happened to be his favorite hymn, and which we sung in his funeral] for the closing song of our Sabbath worship last Saturday. He is simply etched in my heart even after those long years. Can you tell I am a Papa's girl?
4. I am very, very perfectionist. But I have mellowed down when I got married because my husband often showed me it is always alright to experience defeat, as long as we'll see to it that we're always partners in every endeavor we do, and that God is the center of whatever tries and attempts that we engage ourselves with.
5. I write. And I'll be writing some more.
6. I read. And I consider the Bible the greatest book ever written.
7. I keep the seventh-day Sabbath holy. [Exodus 20:8-11]

Now, if it's alright, I am going to pass this tag to the following 7 blogs:

Only if it's alright guys! I would really appreciate it! :)
