Gotta Be Ready For it!!!

First week of August will be our flight back to the US. We've got our papers all set, and we have to finish all other appointments we've made in here. Next month, we still have to travel some six hours from here for a speaking engagement of swithart to a university's Mathematics Department in the city. We still have t prepare Triz's 2nd birthday in July 4th, too. And we still have to book for a trip for us three to give ourselves a break. It all depends on our time and money. I hope we could do it before our Chicago travel. The gas price all around the world is killing us. Whether we be here in Philippines or we're just in central Illinois, the pump is really a pain. I think it's time to minimize these travels that we are bound to have, but nah... only when all three of us would agree to do so. Hehe...

A Memory Upgrade?

These days, I keep forgetting things! One time, I was looking for the key for our house which I am bringing with me all the time and I just couldn't find it in my purse. It's where I usually place it and it just wasn't there when I was searching for it. I totally forgot that I gave it to Jon when they had to go home without me as I let them while I was roaming around the mall enjoying my me-me time shopping alone. LoL. Now that doesn't happen to me only alright. I could also notice it does occur to my sisters and to some people around here. Maybe we all need a memory upgrade? Haha. Who knows? When the computer's hard drive does, and the computer doesn't even need to rationalize things, how much we humans, when all we do every day is think, think, and think? Nah... what do you think people?

missing them!!!

It's only been less than two weeks after swithart got here when Yaya and her family went back to Japan. It's a little sad and we, especially I, am missing them so badly. Well, we have enjoyed each other's company though but Triz keeps on looking for tito, tita, and Ate Shai-shai every morning and I just have to tell her that Ate Shai flew to Japan for schooling. We still talk with each other every now and then and update everyone with what's going on and I could tell, the three of them are missing our atmosphere over here, too. We all treasure our times together, and if given some more chances, we'd love to be reunited for some longer time in the future.

It's them-- Kuya Tom, Yaya and Shai.
The thing is, Shai is loving her Japanese life so much. I think she's missing her CDO home already but things in there just keep her up, especially now that she's going to school. Meantime, we have few more weeks left for our stay here. And yet, still a lot of things and activities to be done. Hope time and strength will let us finish all these. :)

Insuring a Child...

...be it health or life or any other kind of insurance is sure to be an important thing so as to make the child's life secure no matter what happens. In the US, a child insurance is often offered by all insurance companies. In fact, Globe Life is one of the companies that offers the best rate in which a $1 can buy up to $20,000. That is amazing, is it not? Anyway, being on vacation, I have to check my daughter's child insurance while here since we are going to have her well check appointment when we'll go back. Meantime, I have to check all other bills we have while still here. The good thing of this online thing, eh?

These Children's Books

I always believe I have this love to write. It's a passion that I'll continue to have within me for as long as I live. One day, I dream to be able to write my life story and share to the world how inspiring it is. But more than that, I have the feeling that I am incline to write a story for a children's book like what personalizedstories.com has for every one of us, especially for parents like me. These books of personalized stories from experienced authors are nicely lay-outed and presented so as to make everything about such book attractive and worth sharing for. The personalized Sesame Street that the site has will be a great thing for my daughter who is so fond of Elmo and friends. And there's more of this kind of stories at the website. You just have to check it for your self and see which one would interest you and your child the most.

what a day!!!

Days are passing by so fast in here! I think when you have a lot to do, hours seem to pass by real fast. It's that kind of the day that I do have since swithart got here for three weeks now. Yes, it's only been that short of a time, and yet, I, along with him, have accomplished a lot of things in a matter of days and few weeks. Today would be a long day, again. It's swithart's schedule for a minor operation. That is, just a sebaceous cyst be removed by a surgeon. So it will be a day to be spend at the hospital. I hope and pray the operation will just be fine, and that, swithart will do good. It's just a minor thing though so it will be outpatient. After this, time to spend just at home while he will be on recovery. A good thing since I need some relaxation as I have been so tired fro my day-to-day activities. Aghhhh.... the joy of being home! There's so much fun and enjoyment waiting to be explored, and yet, the downside is that the body demands time for rest. I'll have that in the following days. Hehe..

Video Card at Buy

I was amazed to see a buy.com credit card at swithart's wallet when he arrived a couple of weeks ago. I am thankful because now, I get to shop anytime at buy.com, especially now that I need to get a video card or two. One for swithart's camcorder, and one for Yaya's which, she really needed this time. We're actually in a lookout for the best deal and having buy.com's recommendation on that to get best for yourself, video cards at the store are but few of the choices I am trying to choose from. They've got the widest selections actually so you have all the reason to compare the products first through the news and reviews feature of the site. It's not too late yet to get for Father's Day. At least, in my own point of view, especially that swithart needs one and would really appreciate it if I could get one for him. :)

My Curtain Store

I love interior decorating! No, I am not a pro, but I can do a lot with different shades and curtains. One of the things I love to receive as gifts are curtains. And when Yaya sends packages all the way from Japan, I always look forward to receiving even a pair of it. In the US, I love shopping for curtains, too, that when swithart and I go shopping together, he seldom finds me going to home and decors department just to search for curtains and drapes. But I've got a favorite online store as well for these stuff, and that's halfpricedrapes.com! The finest selection of class and quality curtains are found in the site and shopping by category has never been that easy at this online store that I love!

Happy Father's Day

So finally, it's Father's Day!

Sadly, my father isn't here anymore, as he's been resting in peace 10 years ago. But fortunately, I've got my father-in-law to be greeted, our Ninong, all of my brothers-in-law, my very own brother, and of course, Triz's dad as well. It's been a day longed for by every son and daughter out there, and by a wife like me whose husband is one great of a father. Swithart is, and I am sure, when Triz will be old enough to define what a good father is, she will be proud to tell the world about her wonderful dad.

Father's Day 2008, Carmen SDA Church, CDO PHILS
Yesterday was one blast Father's Day celebration at church. It was great Sabbath Day and a wonderful time for the three of us to be going to our beloved Carmen Church together once again. The brethren were in awe of us I can tell and I can feel we are really loved. The morning service was great, and the afternoon program was even better. It's amazing to have all of the fathers standing in front being honored by children and wives. I would love to share great photos here unfortunately, my connection doesn't cooperate as of now. Meanwhile, I will just have to leave you with a warm greetings of "Happy Father's Day" to all the dads out there!

I am giving swithart his time today. He will have to be with his friends, his fellow daddies, to play basketball somewhere. He missed that, and he is the most excited right now. I am trying to give him a surprise later, but only though if Triz will join me with it. I'll see. So fellas, how's your Father's Day event?

Of Billiards

It is amazing how much fun and enjoyment one could have when playing pool. It is one of the many things swithart and I love to do for our leisure. In the US, going to the billiard hall at the university where he goes to every couple of weeks is what we regularly do and since we're on vacation right now, we miss such thing! But we have had the chance to go to the pool hall last weekend when my older sister was looking for a fun thing of entertaining ourselves. At an indoor recreation area here in the city, off we went over the weekend. No, I wasn't with swithart as he was left with Triz but I was with my sisters and relatives. What a fun night, yes! Not only did we enjoy so much goofing around the area but we were able to find ways on how to play not only with the balls but with the sticks as well. LoL. Yes, the pool cue sticks! It came with different colors even at the tip of every stick. So attractive really. It reminds me of the cue sticks I've seen at the website http://www.borderbilliards.com/pool-cue-sticks.html which swithart and I enjoyed browsing together. Yes, we are sports fanatic, in some little ways! :)

Back I Am!!!

It has been long days over the past couple of weeks! With swithart's arrival in here, activities every day never ran out. For now, we are done with so many things we've planned especially the sponsoring of school supplies for the students at our church. It was such a huge task. Over 400 students were given with valuable school stuff and now that the school has started, it is a joy to know that those students were being helped with what we have given. I wish we had bic pens included in our distribution. Students here must love having stuff from the US. Maybe next time we could bring many. There's always next time you know!

One Best Gift

I thought I am so lucky. Hehe. Swithart brought with him something for me, something that I need while being here on our vacation. It's a 2GB SD memory card and a 2GB USB flash drive. See, I have been so frustrated when the 2GB memory card I am using for my digital camera was locked and I couldn't use it anymore because it always says it's error. Argh, I was trying to reformat it but it just didn't work. Now with what swithart brought, I am so thankful. We still have two more months left here and without such things, my digital life won't be complete. LoL. As for luckyness I am talking about, Parmigiani watches would be another great stuff to receive for myself as I just need one this time. My watches have been given to friends who asked for it and now, I am eying on what essentialwatches.com has for me!

fine now!!!

I have been mentioning here that Triz seems to have a fever every night when dadi wasn't here yet. We all thought it was just a lonesome feelings and that, she misses dadi so much. And we all figured. Since dad's been here with us, believe me, never a night that she still feels unwell. I thought it is too impossible but that fact is, she really is a happy baby now, again, and she eats a lot now as well. With here being so small and thin as she has reduced her weight in the past two months that we're here, now she is back to eating plenty in most meals. I am happy and everybody is. Just as we were all worried when she isn't feeling good. Now with dadi around, she is the finest!

Time to Do It!!!

Swithart's been here for a week now and since he has arrived, we both are pretty occupied with things to do that matter in both of our lives. Never a moment that has become idle I am telling you. And we are not done yet. Next week is our trip to Manila and it will be a great thing cause Mama and Kuya are going to travel with us. Meantime, we have to go to Yaya's house property that's being constructed in one of the exclusive subdivisions here in the city. It's almost done, in fact, in two months it will be turned over as planned. Well, when it happens, it will be the time then to for furniture lookout. I am suggesting a teak furniture as one, but I am not sure yet if it will be accepted. Maybe.
