Tomorrow is going to be the city feast in my homeplace, CDO. Yay, it is so much fun in there right now I would guess! I was chatting with Ate earlier and she said they're weathering the storm, that is, the hardship economically. The rice problem continues to rise, though it rolled back earlier this month but it still is so expensive and unaffordable for most of the common people. Remembering the past, every night before the very feast day, we would always go to an amusement park to enjoy all the rides and the fun it offers. The caterpillar, ferris wheel, octupos, etc. rides, the circus, those clowns, etc. etc.-- ahhh they surely made the night! With lots of us kiddos and young at hearts, we surely had a blast with it. Now, they [my family] rarely go to such events because it's not tempting anymore considering how huge a savings they will get when they won't go. Isn't it sad?
But I have heard a lot of tourists are still flooding the city. Good for the government, eh? Tourism industry is surely in bloom and in boom in CDO. I have noticed when I was there, there have been a lot of new business establishments in the city. It stood in the last three years of my absence and they sure helped employ a lot of new graduates, especially the call center industry. I am sure the airport there these days are too busy. It usually is when special times like this takes place.
